There have hardly been such games in collegiate football where fans couldn’t hold themselves from jumping on the field in celebration. This Sunday, they couldn’t even wait for the game to finish as the Colorado Buffaloes fans stormed the field, causing complete chaos to celebrate the team’s dramatic comeback.
Seeing how this season was going after the disappointment last season, fans seemed to be losing faith in Deion Sanders’ effect. But all their concerns vanished in thin air as the Buffs scored a remarkable 38-31 overtime feat against Baylor Bears.
When the fans took over the field immediately following the victory, it didn’t allow the teams to shake hands and conclude the game with good sportsmanship. During the press conference post-game, Coach Prime addressed it and apologized to his opponents, especially head coach Dave Aranda for not being able to shake hands.
As much as Sanders felt bad for not meeting his opponents, he was grateful to see such love from the fans and the dedication with which the young players fought for the victory. Following this feat, the Buffaloes have improved to 3-1 and 1-0 in conference games.
