The Canadian recording artist may not be rooting for the rookie when the Spurs face his beloved Toronto Raptors on November 5.

Wembanyama, meanwhile, may be hoping the rapper does not place any bets involving him and inflict the ‘Drake Curse.’

The 37-year-old has become known in recent years for his high-stakes bets, many of which don’t land.

He lost $500,000 last month after Israel Adesanya’s shock middleweight title loss to Sean Strickland, and unsuccessfully risked $250,000 before that as he predicted Nate Diaz to beat Jake Paul.

Whether Drake wagers on him or not, though, Wembanyama appears to be a sure thing.

The 19-year-old’s massive frame will immediately make him an elite rebounder and defender, and his silky touch and ballhandling is unprecedented for his size.

He looked impressive in the preseason, notching 23 points and three blocks in one game vs. the Heat.

And when he plays his first competitive NBA game, he’ll have a familiar face in the stands in his sister, as she revealed on her Instagram story Sunday.
