Victor Wembanyama officially measures in at 7-feet-3½ inches, meaning the Spurs phenom has grown a half inch in the past eight months

Victor Wembanyama has officially been measured at 7-3½, the Spurs said Wednesday, putting the French phenom on pace to be the second-tallest player in the NBA this season.

Wembanyama said he was 7-foot-3 in October when he was in Las Vegas for a pair of exhibition games against Scoot Henderson’s G League Ignite.

And while most of his NBA Draft peers had their official measurements taken at the draft combine in May, Wembanyama was still playing with his team Metropolitans 92, who made the finals of France’s Pro A league.

Wembanyama was listed at 7-foot-4 in the league’s guide for the NBA Draft.

And a previous ESPN story from February said he was 7-foot-5 with shoes on.

But his official measurement with the Spurs – which came without shoes on – puts him one-and-a-half inches short of that.

Currently, only Boban Marjanovic (7-4) will play next season at a taller height than the teenager.

Kristaps Porzingis, who last played for the Wizards and has since been traded to the Celtics, was listed at 7-3.

While Wembanyama will tower over most of his peers, he’s far from the tallest player in NBA history.

Gheorge Muresan and Manute Bol both measured in at 7-foot-7 while Hall of Famer Yao Ming played at 7-6.

Wembanyama’s debut for the Spurs is set for the Las Vegas summer league next month.
