Simone Biles rocked a new hairstyle as she hits back at critics who targeted her hair through the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France, as she battled the heat and humidity of the Mediterranean climate.
The artistic gymnastics legend claimed three gold medals and a silver to take her haul at the Summer Games up to 11 across her career but found herself under-fire for an unusual reason as she prepared to bring Team USA to glory.
Biles was criticized for how her hair looking during her performance on July 28 in Europe, but she hit back by saying: “Gonna hold your hand when I say this next time you wanna comment on a black girls hair. JUST DON’T.”
And it seems she has not let go of her annoyance yet, as she showed off a brand new hairstyle to make a point to her critics that she does know how to style up and show off when she’s not focusing on winning Olympic golds.
Photos online showed the 27-year-old with her black hair flowing freely down the sides of her head and shoulders, full of curls, as she added a pearly-white smile on Tuesday, one day on from winning a silver medal in the floor exercise.
Biles’ stylist celebrates her new look
Biles tagged her stylist, Brenton Diallo, who also works with high profile clients such as Kimora Lee Simmons, Jeannie Mai and Megan Fox, and he excitedly posted her new hair to his own profile.
