Brandon Aiyuk has gone viral for his actions at practice ahead of the San Francisco 49ers’ Week 4 game. Refusing to wear black-colored shorts initially, fans remain upset over the wide receiver’s tantrum.
Of course, a few NFL analyst’s have chimed in on the situation, unhappy with how Brandon Aiyuk has behaved during practice and with head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Chase Senior, a talk show host and NFL writer, compared Aiyuk to 49ers linebacker Fred Warner. As per Senior, Warner would never be confronted by the coach for such matters.

“Would Fred Warner ever come to practice in the wrong uniform, have to get confronted by the head coach, then get undressed and kick his shorts off while on the practice field?”
He further doubled down on Aiyuk’s behavior, referring to what he did as “childish” and “immature”.
“That’s the difference between a team captain and leader and somebody who’s not. It’s just immature and childish from Brandon Aiyuk. It’s not a good look after Aiyuk didn’t practice all offseason and has been out of shape to start the year.”
Most NFL fans agreed with Chase, adding how the team should have either traded him or held off on signing him to a huge four-year, $120 million extension.
HC Kyle Shanahan confirmed Brandon Aiyuk’s mistake in a press conference
After the practice, Shanahan spoke to the media, confirming that Aiyuk did indeed wear the wrong shorts. The video in question showed a conversation between Aiyuk and Shanahan, the former kicking off his shorts towards the end.
When asked if Aiyuk wore the incorrect shorts, Shanahan said:
“Oh yeah, he did. Good question.”
Aiyuk apparently said:
“I wish I could wear different shorts.”
With Christian McCaffrey out and Deebo Samuel questionable for their Week 4 encounter against the New England Patriots, getting a win will be an uphill task for the team.
