Meghan Markle mysteriously ditched her engagement ring yet again during another solo visit.

It came as the Duchess of Sussex marked International Day of the Girl by visiting Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara, an organisation that mentors young girls. During the visit without Prince Harry, Meghan was seen taking part in a range of activities with a group of youngsters, including drawing and crafts.

For the event, she wore a pair of chic white wide-legged trousers, a Ralph Lauren blue shirt and, of course, was wearing several pieces of jewellery, including a necklace and a bracelet stack. However, it seems one of her most famous pieces of bling – her engagement ring – was missing, although she still appeared to be wearing her wedding band.

The missing ring comes amid a seemingly new approach to work by the Sussexes, with Harry and Meghan recently making a string of solo engagements. Harry has been travelling the world, stopping in New York, London and Southern Africa to promote causes close to his heart.

Meghan, meanwhile, also attended a glitzy charity gala for the Children’s Hospital in LA, where she walked the red carpet in a showstopping dress. That night, she did appear to be wearing the ring.

According to a source close to the couple, the reason for the solo appearance is down to a shift in their ventures. The pal told People magazine: “It’s clear that a twin-track approach is evolving.” Another pal added: “The Duke and Duchess have now hit their stride as individuals – not just as a couple. The Duke appears focused on his patronage work, and the Duchess focused on her entrepreneurial track.”
