Mike Tyson‘s fight against Jake Paul is edging ever closer.

The two men square off at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Friday 15 November, in what will be the first live boxing event streamed globally on Netflix.

The fight was originally set to take place on July 20, before it was forced to be postponed due to Tyson suffering an ulcer flare-up.

There has been a lot of criticism aimed towards the bout, with a number of boxing figures insisting it shouldn’t be going ahead.

Tyson is 58-years-old and hasn’t had a professional bout in nearly two decades, with his last fight ending in a sixth round retirement defeat to Kevin McBride in June 2005.

Paul meanwhile is 27-years-old, and holds a professional record of 10-1 since making his debut in 2020, with seven of those wins coming by knockout.

The most recent of those was a sixth round stoppage against former UFC fighter Mike Perry in July, while he also holds victories against fellow UFC legends Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz too.

One boxing icon that has now weighed in on the bout is Larry Holmes, who fought Tyson back in 1988, losing via a fourth round TKO, and he made his prediction clear when talking to USA Today.

“I’ll bet a quarter on Mike Tyson”.

The Tyson vs Paul event is also set to feature an undisputed super-lightweight title fight between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, along with a WBC welterweight title bout between Mario Barrios and Abel Ramos.
