Gabriel Jesus believes that tonight’s UEFA Champions League match against Bayern Munich doesn’t have a clear favorite.

He emphasized in yesterday’s press conference that reaching the quarter-finals demonstrates the team’s quality and deserves respect. “If we’ve made it to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, it’s because we deserve it and we have quality,” Jesus stated. “We must show respect to Bayern Munich, but we are Arsenal, and they also respect us. It will be a significant match.”

Jesus highlighted the squad’s preparedness, both in terms of fitness and mentality, for the challenges ahead, including the Premier League title race.

“It’s an exciting part of the season for everyone still in the Champions League and competing for the Premier League,” he remarked.

“These games are crucial, and attention to detail is essential. Our squad is in good shape, with only JT [Jurrien Timber] sidelined, but he’ll be back soon, which adds to our strength. We have a large squad with diverse qualities, and we’ve learned the importance of small details, particularly in defense.”

Despite his personal success with four goals in six Champions League appearances this season, Jesus prioritizes team achievements over individual statistics. “While I may have good stats in the Premier League as well, I aim to win games and trophies for the team’s success,” he explained.

“As a striker, scoring is my responsibility, and I always strive to contribute, regardless of the competition. My focus is on enjoying my game and supporting the team in any way I can.”
