With the Golden State Warriors being eliminated by the Sacramento Kings in the Play-In Tournament, we might have seen the last game that Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green will play together.
There have been many talks of Thompson leaving in free agency this offseason, so the era of the big three might finally be over. The trio has been with each for the last 12 seasons, and they have accomplished a lot together in that time.
The trio has won four NBA Championships together, two of which were back-to-back. Of the 12 seasons that they were together, the Warriors made the playoffs nine of those years, six of which they made it to the Finals.
The duo of Curry and Thompson was so lethal that they came to be known as the Splash Bros, as their outside shooting would leave teams devastated. And adding a gritty defender like Green to that team made them a force on both ends of the court.
If the team remains intact, then they could hopefully get one last playoff run together, but that might not happen. Thompson has expressed that he would like more money, and there are plenty of teams that are in need of shooting that would be willing to give him that money that he wants.
Whether the Warriors big three has played their last game together or not, they will go down as one of the most dominant and greatest dynasties in the history of the NBA.
