Caitlin Clark had the most impressive game of her WNBA career on Saturday, recording a triple-double in the Indiana Fever’s win over the New York Liberty.

“We played Liberty basketball, but understanding, this is their Super Bowl game,” Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu said.

“We’ve beaten them three times this year already. We knew they were gonna come into this game really hungry, and it’s tough to beat a team four times.”

Clark’s boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, took to social media to praise his girlfriend for her performance on Saturday.

Clark is the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double during a game.

“Obviously, it’s cool,” Clark said of her game. “My teammates have been finishing the ball [at a] really, really high rate. My assist numbers, that’s because of them.”

She added: “I’m just happy we won. I take a lot of pride in being able to do a lot of different things for this team. I think we’re really good when I can get the ball off the glass and just go in transition and find my teammates and set them up.”

The Fever improved to 9-13 on the season with the win on Saturday.
