All eyes were on Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark during Saturday’s highly entertaining WNBA All-Star Game. While there’s no denying that she did have her moments, it was another superstar who stole the show as Team WNBA recorded a massive win against a powerhouse Team USA squad, 117-109.

This honor went to Dallas Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale, who exploded for a game-high 34 points en route to bagging the WNBA All-Star Game MVP trophy.

After the win, Clark, who herself amassed a record-breaking 10 assists in the win, just had to give Ogunbowale her flowers.
“As a scorer, when you see a couple go down like that, you just have all the confidence in the world,” Clark, said, via Josh Weinfuss of ESPN. “The basket looks really big. So, I know exactly how she felt. She was just in the zone.”

What makes Ogunbowale’s explosion even more impressive is the fact that she scored all of her points in the second half.
Clark has had her fair share of scoring outbursts in her career, which is why she’s able to put herself in Ogunbowale’s shoes. It’s also why Clark fully appreciates the incredible effort her All-Star teammate turned in on Saturday night.
