Team USA’s star gymnast Simone Biles’ sister, Adria, was in the stands on Sunday as she cheered her heart out for Simone and the rest of the USA Gymnastics Olympic team in the team qualifier round. However, her cheering has been misconstrued on social media as supposedly inappropriate behavior, with some of the comments seemingly judging her for her actions.
“Please stop screaming in the crowd when your sister is trying to focus, it’s overwhelming to everyone and not supportive at all,” wrote the disgruntled fan.
Adria did not take to the criticism well at all, but she clapped back with a scathing response. “First of all: please tell me how screaming for my sister goes hand in hand with ‘not being supportive,’” she wrote.
“Please, next time before you come to my profile to comment some [expletive], remember that I have nothing to lose and I do not care to hurt your feelings,” Adria added. “Get [expletive] off my page then and go about your day without [expletive] me off (because) I have time today.”
It doesn’t seem like it’s in Adria’s nature to respond to haters, but there are just those that one simply can’t let pass.
