A report claiming Angel Reese fought an unnamed teammate while with the LSU Tigers has surfaced ahead of her highly anticipated rematch with Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.

The rookie is one of the most popular athletes in the United States and will go down as an all-time great for the Lady Tigers, having led them to a national title last year. However, a Washington Post article (H/T USA Today) revealed that Reese fought a teammate in front of visiting recruits, and LSU head coach Kim Mulkey covered it up.

According to reporter Kent Babb, one of his sources witnessed the altercation, and it led to a meeting in which players were not allowed to have their cell phones.

“This [meeting] was after a fight involving Angel Reese, witnessed by one of my sources, that occurred in front of visiting recruits,” Babb noted, although he never published an article on Mulkey as intended after she threatened legal action.

“One of these individuals present in the team meeting shared that Mulkey said: ‘This entire locker room is trash.’”

The Report Of Angel Reese’s Fight At LSU Remains Unconfirmed

Other publications have been unable to confirm a fight or a meeting, but the Post has said it “stands by Kent Babb and his reporting.”

The incident and the meeting it prompted are believed to have occurred in 2022, before Angel Reese rose to popularity by beating Iowa in the national championship game in 2023.

Reese has since moved up to the WNBA while Mulkey remains LSU head coach and still has players on her roster who won the title last year.

We expect more on this in the coming days, but Reese and LSU have so far declined to comment.

Brittney Griner was one of three Phoenix Mercury players to throw first pitches at Friday’s Arizona Diamondbacks pride night.

The star center joined Kahleah Copper and Natasha Cloud on the night, and they all made impressive throws, putting the likes of Stephen A. Smith and Travis Kelce in the shade following their awful first pitches ahead of other games.

“We kicked off our Pride Night celebrations with first pitches from Brittney Griner, Kahleah Copper, and Natasha Cloud from the Phoenix Mercury,” the team announced via X, sharing a video.

Griner recently returned to the court, having missed the start of the WNBA season with a broken toe.

“Feels great,” she said following her debut earlier this month. “Just sitting back and watching my team hold it down and play and compete, I was just chomping at the bit to get out there. So it just feels good being back with my team and being able to contribute and be a part of it.”

She also praised her teammates for their work in her absence.

“We put in a lot of hard work in training camp and the offseason, everything, and then seasons just go how they go sometimes and sometimes you’re a little delayed,” she added. “Credit to the team. They held it down. They didn’t crumble. They were like, ‘We got this, we’re going to hold it down for you.’ And I’m just proud of them.”

The Mercury star was recently the subject of criticism from Presidential hopeful Donald Trump, who slammed Joe Biden’s decision to facilitate the prisoner swap that brought her back home.

VIDEO: Social Media Calls Out Angel Reese for Dirty Foul on Caitlin Clark That Nearly Took Her Head Off During Sky-Fever Rematch

Caitlin Clark got another one over Angel Reese this Sunday, leaving her 2-0 in their matchups since they both went pro and 3-0 since they faced off in the 2022/23 National Championship Game.

The Indiana Fever hosted the Chicago Sky for the second time this season, having snatched a marginal 71-70 win in their first go-around.

The victory was more convincing this Sunday as the Fever won 91-83.

At one point during the second half, Reese had a foul upgraded to a flagrant-1 violation after attempting a block on Clark but hitting her in the head instead.

Check it out right below:

“She went for ball. Oh well,” one fan said.

“Concussion evaluation clause for the WNBA coming in three, two, one!” another joked.

“@WNBA The flagrant bullying and malicious assault needs to STOP!” another wrote angrily.

“Bad angle. She was never closer than 12 inches from the ball. Just a thug close line to the head,” said a fourth. “Again. I’d suspend her for the rest of the season. If the @wnba won’t act, then I’d take out her ACL, MCL, and LCL.”

A bit much, that last one.

Caitlin Clark Got The Last Laugh

In any case, Caitlin Clark had the last laugh on the day as her team got that much-needed fifth win to go 5-10 for the season.

The loss leaves the Sky 4-9, though they got off to a better start than the Fever.

Angel Reese had her sixth-straight double-double, however, scoring 11 points and adding 13 rebounds.

Clark scored 23 points, along with eight rebounds and nine assists.
