Billie Eilish insists she will ‘NEVER discuss her sexuality ever again’ after previously feeling forced to come out as queer as she says the interest in her private life is ‘so unnatural’

Billie Eilish has insisted that she will never discuss her sexuality ever again’ after feeling forced to ‘come out’ as queer last year.

The chart-topper, 22, first discussed her sexuality with Variety last year, revealing at the time that she was ‘attracted physically’ to women.

Afterwards, she said she thought it ‘was obvious’ while reflecting on the world’s reaction to her admission.

However, in a new interview with Vogue, the Ocean Eyes singer told of her regret at being so open, noting that the world will hear noting of her sexuality or dating life directly from her.

Billie also suggested the huge interest in her private life is ‘so unnatural’ compared to other people her age.

Expressing her frustration over the talk of her sexuality, Billie said frankly: ‘I wish no one knew anything about my sexuality or anything about my dating life. Ever, ever, ever. And I hope that they never will again.’

Driving home her point, she added: ‘And I’m never talking about my sexuality ever again. And I’m never talking about who I’m dating ever again.’

Billie told how she has a history of being too open and honest about her life, something which has come back to ‘haunt her’ on occasion.

As well as unintentionally coming out, the star also garnered plenty of attention thanks to her comments on masturbation and her love of the female body during her very open chat with Rolling Stone in April.

The star told how she ‘underestimates’ how the things that she says will be ‘blown up’ in the world’s media.

And while others her age can learn about themselves and their sexuality, as well as making private mistakes without everyone knowing, the same can’t be said for the global superstar.

Acknowledging this point, Billie noted that it was ‘so unnatural’, adding: ‘We’re all babies. We’re all little kids growing up and learning ourselves.’

After unwittingly revealing her sexuality, Billie said at the rime that she wasn’t really a fan of the concept of coming out, explaining, ‘I’m just like, why can’t we just exist?

‘I’ve been doing this for a long time and I just didn’t talk about it… whoops. I saw all the articles [and] was like, “Oh, I guess I came out today… OK, cool.”

‘But it’s exciting to me because I guess people didn’t know, so it’s cool that they know. I’m nervous talking about it… but I am for the girls.’

While some things she wishes to keep quiet, Billie revealed that noted that she instead wants to use her platform for good, inspiring young people especially in America ahead of the ‘most important election of our time.’

Joking to Vogue that it would be ‘amazing’ to become the first female president and adding that she would love to ‘feel safe as a woman in my country’, Billie shared her enthusiasm for women’s rights, women’s reproductive rights and social justice, before encouraging others to register to vote.

For now though, the musician is focusing on her music and her Hit Me Hard And Soft Tour, which kicked off in September.

She went on to confess to having some ‘really dark times’ on tour in the past as she lived like it was ‘temporary’.

But while she acknowledge that touring is still ‘kind of unpleasant’, she remarked that she wanted to make touring more ‘enjoyable’ after realising that she was ‘lonely for many years’ – with Billie not ‘interested’ in that isolation anymore.

Vogue’s November 2024 issue is available on newsstands nationwide on October 22nd.
