Arsenal were left stunned in the Premier League title race as they were beaten 2-0 by Aston Villa at the Emirates.
Goals from Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins did the damage as Unai Emery‘s side inflicted a first league defeat of the year on the Gunners.
Arsenal had chances, but Emiliano Martinez was in fine form, although Watkins and Youri Tielemans both struck the woodwork for Villa.
The result means Man City end the Premier League weekend top of the league after Liverpool also lost earlier on Sunday.
After soaking up pressure in the first half, Villa were brilliant in the second period as Arsenal struggled to deal with Emery’s gameplan.
