Victor Wembanyama puts the NBA on notice, helps bettor cash crazy $13,000 parlay

Victor Wembanyama #1 of the San Antonio Spurs handles the ball against Kevin Durant #35.

The NBA is officially on notice: It is the Victor Wembanyama Era.

After an unbelievable comeback that saw the Spurs come back from a 20-point deficit and 60/1 underdogs, Wembanyama led the Spurs to another shocking victory, and this bettor won huge.

Betting live on the game, a bettor placed a Live Same Game Parlay on FanDuel Sportsbook with the two legs on Wembanyama to score 30+ points and Devin Booker to score 30+ points.

The $100 bet won a clean $13,358.42 when Booker scored two free throws with 5:31 remaining in the game.

Wembanyama dominated the show from start to finish, beginning the game with a block of Booker.

The bet was placed live, so it is unclear when exactly the bettor was targeting the two to score 30 points each, but Booker had zero points after the first quarter while Wembanyama had seven.

The second quarter was a bit more fortuitous as Booker put up seven points while Wembanyama scored 13 of his own, including two late 3-point jumpers to end the half.

The Spurs led 75-55 after the second quarter, despite being massive +280 moneyline underdogs going into the matchup.

The longest of legs was certainly Booker, who hadn’t played much this season, missing the last three games with an ankle injury.

Oddsmakers were definitely weary of some minute limits as the Suns went down 20 by halftime.

They climbed back a bit in the third quarter, gaining six points on San Antonio’s 20-point lead but would win up losing by 11.

Wembanyama is surely someone that the Suns will have in their minds going forward, as he dominated the Suns in two games, leading the team to two huge upset wins.

The Spurs will travel to New York to play the Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday.
