Arsenal are said to have been monitoring Benjamin Sesko for the past few months. The clause to break his contract is only £42.5 million.
After Arsenal was eliminated from the Champions League in the middle of last week, Evening Standard said coach Mikel Arteta wanted to add more attacking “power” to his squad. However, Man Utd and Chelsea also want to recruit the 1m95 tall striker, who has scored 13 goals this season.
Although Arsenal have scored 75 goals in 32 Premier League matches this season, second only to Manchester City with 76 goals, they do not have a true goalscorer. Winger Bukayo Saka is the top scorer with 18 goals in all competitions. Strikers like Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah, along with players assigned to play false nine like Kai Havertz, only have a total of 24 goals. Having a target striker like Sesko is exactly what Arsenal needs to reach new heights.

Sesko joined Red Bull Salzburg at the age of 16 in 2019. He has scored 29 goals in 79 matches for the Austrian team. In the summer of 2023, Sesko comes to Leipzig in 2023 for a fee of about 20.5 million pounds.
Arsenal are currently two points behind leaders Manchester City and have 6 matches left in the season. They will have to regain their spirits after losing in the Champions League Quarterfinals to Bayern Munich, to get the best results when they visit Wolves next Saturday.
