Billie Eilish’s newly released album – Happier Than Ever: A love letter to Los Angeles – will be exclusively released on Disney+ starting in early September.
Combining a grand stage and emotional footage, Billie Eilish and the Disney+ streaming channel team have packaged a surprise gift for fans through a unique concert film.
“A cinematic concert experience” is what Disney+ is marketing to its subscribers. Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles is the first and only live recording of all the new album’s songs in order at the legendary Hollywood Bowl.
Produced by Disney, the film also features big names: director Robert Rodriguez, who wrote the successful music video for Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s Rain on Me, as well as the blockbuster Alita: Battle Angel. The male director will also be accompanied by Patrick Osborne, the winner of the Oscar for the animated short Feast and the member in charge of animation for Wreck-It-Ralph, Big Hero 6.
“Disney is such an incredible icon, so to collaborate with them on a project like this is such an honor,” Billie Eilish said. “To have the opportunity to present my album in this way and dedicate it to the city I grew up loving and loving is so exciting.”
Happier Than Ever is Billie Eilish’s second album in her career, consisting of 16 songs. Released on July 30, the project is a highly anticipated product in 2021, especially when its owner is one of the highly rated stars.
At just 19 years old, Billie Eilish has achieved almost every success in her music career. At the 62nd Grammy Awards, she was not only the youngest artist ever nominated but also won important categories including New Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Pop Album of the Year. Together with her brother Finneas, Billie Eilish continues to reign at the top of music, becoming 2 names that guarantee a “hit” for every song released.
