Victor Wembanyama overshadows Jalen Brunson's best game" - ESPN SHOCKED Spurs beat Knicks 130-126 - YouTube

So if Brunson makes that three, he sets the single game record for most points scored by a Nick in a game and the Knicks win the game as it is.

They end up losing by two.

Yeah, They were trying to go home because you could see how exhausted they were, and what we witnessed tonight was the Pres of the Knicks and a great player that they have developed here in, Jaylen Brunson- and you also witnessed the future of the NBA- and Victor Wanana, with a a 4020 performance performance for the ages, including a huge three-pointer 27f footer, with the Knicks just pushing and pushing and pushing and him pushing back, getting the win for his team.

This was a classic second half and on for a Knicks team that did not have a very good first half of this game.

They did struggle early on defensively, but they also showed you that resiliency that this Knicks team does, which they will never let go of the Rope.

They will never give you a game.

You’re going to have to take it from him.

And when Jaylen Brunson got cooking in that second half, you had a feeling we were in for a special night, and we certainly were.

He didn’t get the franchise record, but for him the bigger deal is that they didn’t get the win.

That will bother him more than anything else.

Knicks were down by 21 at one point in the first half.

Their first lead came with four minutes to go, but they end up losing.

This is important now, obviously, as we head down the stretch, with the Cavs winning and the magic losing.

Here’s what we have.

The Bucks didn’t play tonight.

Nicks are fourth.

Victor Wembanyama faces 'overrated' taunts from Knicks fans in memorable MSG debut - MARCA TV English

They are now a half game behind the Cavs for third and two games behind the bucks for second.

Next game for the Knicks home Sunday against Okc.

Schedule gets tougher a little bit now, as the Knicks now complete this stretch of four games against under 500 teams and they go 3- one.

It was almost 4-0 tonight

And it would have been an amazing win, as it was Allen.

It was an amazing game and the fourth quarter was amazing to watch.

Yes, and where the Knicks just kept pushing, it felt like they just couldn’t, they they?

They made it close in the third quarter, but they just couldn’t get a lead, couldn’t get a lead, but they had to keep chipping away, chipping away, and a young team like the Spurs.

They were going to succumb and Jaylen Brunson just was on.

One knocks down that three Nicks are down, six is steal by Duce Mcbride and gets the dunk.

And now suddenly, at the four-point game, Nicks just kept pushing.

And then you find Dante D venzo and suddenly it’s a one-point game and Greg Poic had to call a timeout.

But they had no answers for Brunson.

They were trying to throw doubles at him.

He was doing a ton of iso in this game.

But Deon Vel- we talk a lot about about when by.

I think Vel made some huge shots to keep the Knicks at Bay, certainly as well.

How about leaving Divon Shenzo wide open?

You ever see a fast break three-pointer.

You did right there and the Knicks took a 113, 112 win.

Brunson makes it 115, 113, and it’s just back and forth we go.

The Knicks had a two-point lead and then here’s the moment.

Right here he’s just so tall.

Isaiah Hartenstein is a seven-footer and that made him look small with the tip in the tie it.

And then Brunson, right here to make it 121, 19, 19 free throws, sent us to overtime, and I mean Bill overtime.

The Knicks really seem like they ran out of gas at that point, as it just Brunson here makes this one shot, he ended up making only two of his last nine from the field, as they were putting a ton of pressure on him defensively.

Watch this shot right here, though, off one leg- 27 footer and a little shimmy- you got it like that.

You got to respect that out of him, the put back here.

Look at the Battle now you worry about Mitchell Robinson, who was limping on that leg, but he made that play a tough play, and there’s Brunson going for the win, to just try to steal one and run home presses.

Aoua, maybe not realizing time, score and situation, kicks that out instead of just putting it back up, which would have tied the score all right.

Look at the numbers here.

Uh, 130 for the Spurs, 126 for the Knicks.

Knicks had the best defense so far in the league in March, giving up 95 points per game in the Sp obviously went to overtime, but they gave 130.

They scored 126.

The way it’s been going for the kns, when they score 126, they normally win.

But W bayama was fantastic.

He had 40.

He had a career high: 40 points, 20 rebounds.

He was amazing to watch.

Uh made big shots though that three there.

Remember, they’re up one, 112 to go in Ot shot clock ticking down and he hit that three to put him up by four.

Yeah, little Dirk s kind of three too, the way he kind of sat back when he took it.

He had plenty of space.

He knows he can shoot over anybody you put on him.

There’s no one as big as him in this league.

Chad Hom comes close, but not even close when you consider his also High release.

So for him he’s not worried about getting a shot blocked.

It’s all about just getting squared and being in Rhythm.

And he found his rhythm.

He had four three-pointers in this game.

So it wasn’t just him using his size around the basket.

It was him also showing off the skill factor that he had in this game as well.

Let’s also point out he has seven assists in this game early on, making some great passes.

He is just a special player.

I have said this before.

People think I’m crazy, but I’m not.

When you look at him and you look at all the factors of a next face of the Nba, he’s got it because he’s got the compelling size, something very different about him and his game, but he also has a Swagger to him.

He’s got Charisma

And he’s somebody that can bring it every single night

And you saw that this season.

The fear was he couldn’t handle the Nba, the rigors of the travel.

He was a 19-year-old, skinny kid coming in.

Would he be able?

Would he get hurt?

He has played.

This is his 65th game, so now he’s eligible for all Postseason Awards.

Rookie of the year is a lock.

Might as well start carving his name into that trophy right now.

He could be all defensive team as well.

There’s a couple of other things you can consider for him, but he is just showing you, late in the season, the type of player that everybody projected he could be the next Lebron kind of impact player for the Nba.

Want to point out-

And you mentioned in the Highlight- that ienzo hit a three.

He had enough threes tonight to pass Evan for, by the way, Little secondary storyline here-

He’s get the most threes by a Nick in a single season as he passes.

Evan forer’s Mark with his ever tonight.

So Brunson had 21 in the first half.

He had 40 in the second half in overtime and 2 in the third quarter.

That third quarter is when you kind of had a feeling, Cu.

That’s when the Knicks came back into the game.

Yes, the 21 was sort of like Brunson, was the only one really getting anything done offensively.

But then that that third quarter happened and you’re like, okay, he’s on one, and you can see even he was making faces about himself and the shots he was making and the Rhythm he was getting into.

And what was odd was that Spurs were playing him one-on-one for the longest time and he was just taking his one-on-one knowing there was no matchup, he couldn’t beat.

And there was a time later in that fourth quarter where they were clearing out one side.

This was almost like kobees, in fact.

You see the 47 field goal attempts.

He’s the first player since Kobe’s last game to take 47.

Kobe attempted 50 in that last game and he took 47.

But last night Deontay Murray had 44.

Brunson here now, just onepoint shy of the franchise record, and that three would have given him the franchise record had he knocked it down trying to go for the win.

But what a performance for Jaylen Brunson tonight, just just short of trying to get that comeback win.

So it’s a great night to participate in our garden of dream fundraiser, because with $100, one of the prizes that you can win is a Jaylen Brunson autograph Jersey, and what that.

That would be a nice.

Well, think about the bragging rights.

Here you get that Jersey.

You can tell all your friends: not only is it, that’s it.

I haven’t talked to Medical.

It’s tough way to lose.

Going back on J, scoring 61, his record, um, are you even surprised?

But what he does you know night after night?

No, I guess, because you see him every night, you see what he does

And you know we started off the game, got in a big hole, came back, got in a big hole again, came back again, came out to start third quarter and got out of the hole and then fought all the way to the end.

We had two chances to to win it, just you know.

And we fell short.

I thought our defense in the second half was better.

Um, you know.

Big free throw disparity, I don’t know.

Line, the file is a file.

That’s what I do know you and what I, what I’m hearing, I don’t really like.

So, and I I don’t know what else you can do, what else you can say?

It’s clear as day, it’s simp, it’s it.

It really is that simple.

When you what you say, when you say you you don’t like, like what you’re hearing, what, what, what explanation are you getting?

Not a very good one.

I’ll leave it at that.

Y all right.

So the Knicks go 10 of 12 from the line.

The Spurs, from the line, go 26 of 32.

Brunson goes for 61 points and attempts only six free throws.

Coach, obviously not in the best of spirits.

Yeah, You can understand this.

And I would also throw in the fact that while Tom Tibido was definitely working the refs in this game, there was a point in the game where Greg Papovich was getting in the face of a couple of refs using colorful language.

No Tech right, just allowed to do it.

But when you look at- and I just checked it-

The numbers and you’re right- the six free throw attempts for a guy that had 61 points, but 30 of those points for a guy 6’2 were in the paint.

So if you’re scoring 30 points in the paint and a guyy 6’2, there’s no contact on that.

And I think that’s what the frustrating part for Tom Tibido.

Because we have seen Brunson.

He is a physical player, we know that

And he is not afraid of contact.

But it doesn’t mean the contact doesn’t happen with him and he’s not getting these calls.

We know since the All-Star break, the league has made it clear that they’re not going to let you seek out fouls.

They have called it a little less and they have let the game become more physical, which the Knicks welcome.

They want to play that way.

But I can understand Tom Theo’s frustration in a game like this, where his guy is cooking and he’s making shots while getting hit and he’s not getting the whistles.

And then you see the disparity between the two teams- 32 attempts for the Spurs and only 12 for the Knicks- and he doesn’t understand why there isn’t a consistency to both ends.

We’ve been here before.

We’ve seen that a lot this year.

We had this conversation before, and the Knicks are a team that gets to the free throw line a ton.

But in this game that did not exist and that is something that really frustrated him, because you know you could-

There’s a lot of things you could point to- that cost the Knicks game their slow first half in Port defense.

Allowing 74 points is at the very top of that list.

But on the way to making a comeback, to not get some calls that you felt you should have gotten.

That adds to the frustration of a game that the Knicks are clearly not going to be happy about.

With the way they lost it.

You’re going to have D Vincenzo’s record.

You’re going to have Jaylen Brunson’s 60-point performance.

Those are things that we’ll talk about.

Those guys don’t care about that stuff right now.

All they care about is, instead of getting win 45, they have lost 29 and instead of being one step closer to second, they’re back to Fourth.

Those are the only stats that matter for this team right now.

And what makes it tough is again, they trailed up until 437.

Nothing can stop me, for your team has destroyed a tower.

An ally has been defeated.

Victory N for to.

Please keep your mouth shut, First Blood.

An ally has been defeated.

An enemy has been defeated.

An enemy has been defeated.

An ally has been defeated.

Oh, come on, guys.

I’m getting branded out.

Here is crushing time.

The Monkey King’s, my bro two step back.
