Three fights are reportedly set to be added to the Gervonta Davis vs Lamont Roach undercard.
Davis is due to defend his WBA lightweight title against Roach at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on December 14.
The WBA recently granted Roach ‘special permission’ to move up and challenge Davis for their version of the lightweight world title, whilst also retaining his WBA super featherweight strap.
Davis had hoped to square off with IBF title holder Vasyl Lomachenko in a unification clash.
However, talks came to an abrupt halt in July when the Ukrainian opted to take some time away from the sport.
As a result, a deal with Roach was struck instead.
The fight has been met with a mixed reaction from members of the boxing fraternity but the undercard is shaping up nicely.
According to esteemed boxing journalist Dan Rafael, Brandon Figueroa will defend his WBC ‘interim’ featherweight title in a rematch against Stephen Fulton in the co-feature attraction.
Figueroa fell to a controversial majority decision loss to Fulton in November 2021 and will now get the opportunity to exact his revenge.
Their inaugural encounter was an all-action affair and the rematch is expected to produce more fireworks.
Elsewhere on the bill, unbeaten former two-weight world champion Jermall Charlo is set to continue his rebuild after being stripped of his WBC middleweight strap after a DWI arrest in May.
According to Ring Magazine’s Jake Donovan, he will face Thomas ‘Cornflake’ LaManna, who is best known for being knocked out in 80 seconds by Erislandy Lara in 2021.
The third fight, which is slated to land on the Davis-Roach undercard is Alberto Puello vs Sandor Martin.
Puello was recently upgraded from ‘interim’ to full WBC super lightweight champion after Devin Haney vacated the title.
The Dominican boxer is now due to defend his title for the first time against mandatory challenger Martin.

Both men reached an agreement for the fight in August and are now set to duke it out in November.
Martin fell to a narrow split decision win against Teofimo Lopez in December 2022 but has bounced back well with back-to-back victories over Arblin Kaba and Mohamed El Marcouchi.
