Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami have a new stadium name after the Herons agreed to a new sponsorship deal with JPMorgan Chase ahead of the 2024 MLS season.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The DRV PNK Stadium, located in Fort Lauderdale, will now be known as Chase Stadium after Inter Miami inked a multiyear naming rights partnership with JPMorgan Chase. The unveiling of the new name took place on the eve of the MLS season opener between Inter Miami and Real Salt Lake, with the iconic Auto Nation DRV PNK Stadium signage being replaced by Chase Stadium.
WHAT JORGE MAS SAID
“Today is a notable, memorable day,” said Inter Miami managing owner Jorge Mas. “When we first began this journey it was always our desire to shine a light on South Florida and Miami and to bring amazing brands and companies together to change the sport in America. Around the world when they mention Inter Miami and Lionel Messi, it will be at Chase Stadium. This announcement is a milestone for us, the beginning of a very long relationship between Inter Miami and JP Morgan Chase.”
THE BIGGER PICTURE
JPMorgan Chase, the nation’s largest bank, enters into its first stadium naming rights deal in soccer, adding to its extensive portfolio of sports partnerships, which includes collaborations with Madison Square Garden, the US Open, F1 Miami Grand Prix, Chase Center (home to the Golden State Warriors), and the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks.
As part of the partnership, Chase will introduce various promotions for fans, including an exclusive entrance via the Chase Fast Lane on match days, presale ticket access, preferred seating opportunities, and discounts on merchandise and food concessions at the Inter Miami team store.
