Verstappen’s team were not happy with him.

Max Verstappen was accused by his own race engineer of being “childish” following his crash with Lewis Hamilton on Sunday.

McLaren stole the show at the Hungarian Grand Prix with a one-two finish. Oscar Piastri became the seventh different driver to win a race this season, with his teammate Lando Norris finishing a close second.

McLaren pitted Norris first – despite him being in second on track – in order to fend off the undercut from other drivers, with the Brit ending up in the lead through overcutting Piastri.

Eventually, after several team orders, Norris let Piastri back in-front to claim victory.

After the race, Norris shared his thoughts on the incident.

Another point of controversy came when Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen crashed during the 64th lap.

Verstappen, currently leading the drivers championship, was in fourth position when he attempted to overtake Hamilton heading into a corner.

The Red Bull driver ended up clipping the wheel of Hamilton’s Mercedes, propelling the rear of his vehicle into the air before he went off the track.

Hamilton continued and claimed a third place finish, while Verstappen was overtaken by Charles Leclerc and had to settle for fifth.

Immediately after the incident, Verstappen complained about the incident on the team radio, claiming that Hamilton had forced him off the track.

But the Red Bull race engineer immediately shut Verstappen down, snapping back: “I’m not even going to get into a radio fight with the other teams, Max.”We’ll let the stewards do their thing. It’s childish, on the radio. Childish.”
