San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk has made his hopes of becoming a future Olympian known. The 2028 Olympics, which be held in Los Angeles, California will feature flag football for the first time in the history of the Summer Games.

During his appearance on Fox News Digital this week, Juszczyk confirmed his desire to become a part of Team USA. He encouraged the selection committee to watch his Pro Bowl flag football game highlights which he called his ‘resume,’ making a case why he is a good candidate.

“I 100% want to play flag football in 2028. And whoever’s in charge of that selection committee, please go watch my 2022 Pro Bowl highlight tape. That is my resume for the Olympics. Hopefully, I can find a way to get in there.”- Kyle Juszczyk said.

Juszczyk continued by saying that he has always had the dream of representing the United States in the Olympic Games, but up until now, it has never been a possibility.

“I’ve always said, not that it’s a regret of mine, but something I wished I had the opportunity to do was compete in the Olympics and represent your country. I think that is so, so cool and special and unique.”

Kyle Juszczyk is currently 33 years old, which means he will be 37 years old when flag football debuts in 2028. It’s unclear if the selection committee will choose younger players or veterans to sport the red, white, and blue in the Olympic debut of the sport.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow also wants to make debut in 2028 Olympics

Kyle Juszczyk isn’t the only NFL player who recently spoke about his desire to play for USA’s 2028 Olympic flag football team, as Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow stated on the “Pardon My Take” podcast that he also to be part of it. He then named Bengals teammate Ja’Marr Chase and former LSU teammate Justin Jefferson as other possible NFL players he could team up with to win gold.

“That’d be sick, wouldn’t it? … I really wanna play for the flag football team. Me, Ja’Marr, Justin [Jefferson]… I think it’d be really cool.”-said Burrow

Burrow also went on to say that with the United States being the birthplace of football, it would be ’embarrassing’ if the team didn’t win gold.

“Yeah, that would be embarrassing.”

Although it’s still four years away, there is no doubt the 2028 Summer Games will be a must-watch, more so as flag football will make its Olympic debut.
