The Green Bay Packers are coming off a remarkable season as they scored a playoff victory with a quarterback making his debut as the starter. However, the one game that got them eliminated from the playoffs last season, against the San Francisco 49ers, still hovered over their heads.

As per the NFL 2024 schedule, the Packers would finally get a chance to avenge their loss against the 49ers in week 12 of the upcoming season, where the former will have a home-game advantage.

With much anticipation about this rematch of the NFC divisional round, Packers All-Pro cornerback Keisean Nixon was asked if he is looking forward it face-up against his former South Carolina teammate, more than their week 1 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, in his recent appearance on the “Up & Adams” show.

Oh yeah absolutely. I’ve been having to hear it from Deebo [Samuel] and Deommodore Lenoir all summer, so I’m kind of sick of hearing them. They gotta come to Lambeau and see us… Debbo’s annoying.

Nixon told Kay Adams on Wednesday. 

The All-Pro cornerback also threw shade at his former teammate Deebo Samuel by calling him “annoying” and someone who “talks crazy in your face.” Despite the snarky comments, Nixon clarified that both the athletes do not have any bad blood between them and in fact, are quite close to each other.

Keisean Nixon earns All-Decade Team honors

The Packers’ star CB recently hit the headlines for being enlisted in the All-Decade Team by Pro Football Network for the ongoing decade from 2020. Thanks to his consecutive All-Pro seasons, Nixon surpassed the Vikings’ Kene Nwagnwu, who was also enlisted in the list.

Nwagnwu and Nixon were the only two returners in the league to record 20 kickoff returns, which was one of the grounds for qualifying for the list.

The Packers’ kickoff returner recorded one of the best seasons of his career in 2023, as he led the league in kickoff returns and kickoff-return yards and average– which he was second the year before, in 2022.
