Rumors of trade targets, free agents and draft prospects that the San Antonio Spurs are likely to pursue are dominating social media feeds. Recent comments from Brian Windhorst and Shams Charania on the Pat McAfee Show indicated that the Spurs will be in the market to acquire high-end talent via trades. External acquisitions aren’t the only way to improve the team. They can also improve from within.
We want to hear your thoughts on how the young Spurs can develop next season. As always, vote in the poll below and sound off in the comments if you don’t see your ideas represented in the survey. We will be back with the results later in the week.
Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NBA. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in San Antonio Spurs fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
The Spurs are well known for their player development system. With one of the youngest rosters in the NBA, they have plenty of room for their team to improve without adding external help. Victor Wembanyama came on strong in the second half of the season and looks like an NBA superstar. Even so, there are improvements to be made in his game. Jeremy Sochan made strides as a shooter and defender, but has a lot of room to grow at 20 years old.
In the latest SB Nation Reacts survey, we want to hear what you want to see from the developing Spurs next season. What improvements would you like to see in Wembanyama’s game? Should he work on his spot up threes and post game, better decision-making offensively or just getting into better condition this summer? Which player’s development is the most important going forward? Do you have a preferred outcome for an individual player next season?
