A young Chelsea fan has gone viral for holding a placard questioning his side’s commitment during their 5-0 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates.
The Gunners thumped the sorry Blues 5-0 thanks to Leandro Trossard’s opener and a double from Ben White and Kai Havertz on Tuesday night at the Emirates. During the contest, a young Chelsea fan was seen holding a sign that tore into Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
The young fan’s poster reads: “I don’t want your shirt!! I want you to want to fight for ours. UTC (Up the Chelsea).”
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Arsenal opened up a three-point lead over second-placed Liverpool with the victory, but the Reds have a game in hand and Manchester City are a point behind in third – but they have two games in hand. Conversely, Chelsea’s chances of qualifying for Europe took a blow as they stay ninth in the Premier League; three points Manchester United in seventh.
Chelsea will look to bounce back from this mauling when they travel to Aston Villa on Saturday night, whereas Arsenal take on north London rivals Tottenham on Sunday afternoon.
